None of the embed codes in the audio files work. Is anyone aware of this problem?

The problem is that the final "embed" closing tag is missing. The last two tags should be (here, I can't type the actual code for some reason, but it's left facing carrot, slash "embed" right facing carrot. Then, left facing carrot, slash "object", right facing carrot.

When I figured this out, I simply typed in manually the left facing carrot, slash "embed" right facing carrot.

Then, I was able to embed those very sleek and nice looking players on my blog. But the simple copy and paste solution offered won't cut it.

yes, some places don't like things like:
[foo/]
and want it like:
[foo][/foo]
(where you substitute the hard brackets above with "less thans" and "greater thans")

our flowplayer's embed helper should fix this, hopefully sooner than later...

Thank you, Tracey, for your reply. This isn't
a big deal. Blogger is the site that rejects the code as written. I wanted to help anyone who is experiencing the same difficulty and wants to embed a player in blogger.
It's easy to enter the bit of missing code, and the players are really nifty looking and sounding.

Best, John Robinson

hi John,

well, just the same, it's a good point and feedback
so i've updated our embedding instructions to mention the observation
of "doubling" the embed tag (since we are using a new "embed" module from flowplayer and cannot (easily) change it ourselves).

thanks!

I tried doubling the closing embed tag and Blogger is still giving me an error message saying the tag is broken.
What to do?

I have had no problems with embedding the player in the past. Just clicking on the "embed this" like has worked fine.

Now I am getting a message that says " Please first start playing the media so that we can get the HTML for you to use.
Then click embed this again."

The link points to a "javascripts required message"

Of course...following the instructions does not work.
My browsers are set with javascripts enabled, but nothing works.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm having this problem too. I scanned through the related posts and I'm wondering where IA is at in fixing the problem. Does anybody know?

Yes. Now, when I click on "embed this", even after starting the media, nothing happens.

I don't have a problem with this because I have already template copies which I've copied and pasted on Blogger, and I simply change the name of the file within the template, and it works fine.

But people who don't have the template will not be able to embed their audio player. I assume that IA is working on this problem.

Indeed, if you have a working player, simply changing appropriate file names etc.. will embed the player successfully.

I don't know if it would make sense to post the template here for others that are having the same problem.

Any thoughts?
